Over the past several years the growth of print-on-demand technology has far surpassed the growth of traditional printing methods. Anticipating this industry trend, The Blount Group purchased a Hewlett Packard Indigo® 5000 Press operated by an HP-trained technician and supporting finishing/bindery personnel. The Indigo® 5000 Press is considered to be a best-in-class offering for vibrant color reproductions from a client’s digital source such as a pdf file. We can offer clients a six-color capability with extraordinary quality utilizing liquid HP ElectroInks for high definition imaging. Although traditional print jobs can be performed with the HP Indigo® Press, the primary business objective of The Blount Group’s POD services is to print collateral material on an ‘as needed’ basis for our clients. This is not to say that The Blount Group will be printing materials upon order receipt, rather batches of marketing materials will be pro actively printed based on forecasted demand and/or historical usage data.
