The Blount Company was established in 1990 as a supply chain management company. We provide a broad range of services to include the distribution of literature, displays, point-of-sale (POP), and other collateral materials, print-on-demand, full bindery, e-business, kit assembly, pick-and-pack, warehousing and logistics.
As an e-business service provider, The Blount Group offers Internet real-time order processing and inventory management, e-mailed order confirmation, on-line tracking and both ad hoc and custom reporting. Our "Open Orders" (IBM) software gives us the ability to provide turnkey solutions throughout the fulfillment process. Our digital presses provide high performance 6-color print-on-demand capability followed by a complete in-house bindery operation.
In January 2010, Fulfillment America, Inc., a well established and respected six sigma certified fulfillment resource acquired 33% interest in The Blount Group. This expansion has allowed the Blount Group to enhance its technology with outstanding business intelligence capability along with increases warehousing and logistical support.
Collectively we currently service Office Depot®, Sylvania®, Timberland®, The College Board®, Dunkin Donuts®, Liberty Mutual®, Puma®, Blue Cross Blue Shield®, Benjamin Moore Paints®, Subway®, Fidelity Investments®, Mass Commuter Rail®, Mass Rides®, Astra Pharmaceuticals®, EMC Company®, Hologic®, Insulet® and New York University® with monthly rollouts; display and kit assemblies, daily pick and pack, and print-on-demand of marketing support materials.
The number of services provided within the supply chain management process is very extensive and we have been providing these services since our inception. The growth our company has been excellent and our financial status remains healthy.
